Dimitri Baumgartner

Dimitri Baumgartner has been passionate about automobiles since his early childhood. According to family legend, his first word was “car” – long before he uttered “dad” or “mum”.

 

As a young teenager, he stocked his toy cars and began to collect 1:43 model cars with his pocket money. Sometimes, the choice was impossible – he would have dearly loved to buy more!

 

A collection, a career

After his studies, Dimitri started work for a large Swiss toy dealer, the exclusive agent for several technical brands such as Norev, Ixo, Eligor, Spark and inter alia. Here he had the opportunity to fuse his passion and his profession, which was an enormous pleasure.

Later, he became a consultant for Atlas Editions in order to create collections for the Nordic countries. Following on from the success of these collections, he was hired by Atlas as Product Development Manager, with a mission to create new products for collectors, specifically vehicles. These collections for Volvo and Saab were met with great success all over Europe.

In addition to his passion for model car collections, Dimitri and his partner, Frederic, also collect full size cars. Their collection includes several models from Saab and Volvo, as well as some other iconic models from European brands such as the Citroën Dyane and the NSU Ro80.

A passion, a new adventure

Building upon his wealth of experience and his knowledge in the field, Dimitri is now launching his own model car brand. Dimini will offer new variations and finishes of models which he has previously developed, as well as limited editions of brand new models, in zamak or resin.

Dimini is delighted to present its first model to the market – an atypical car combined with an even more astonishing accessory: the Saab 900 equipped with the Toppola camping shell. For further details, see the attached fact sheet.

Available worldwide

Distribution for the Dimini brand will be managed in Belgium by the team at The Saab Farm, who provide their wonderful experience in logistics and storage.

Dimini’s models will be available worldwide in specialty stores and other passionate dealers of Volvo and Saab accessories.
